Eswatini Cannabis Law

The Opium and Habit-Forming Drugs Act of 1922 was enacted on June 23rd, 1922 and is currently the legislation actively criminalizing cannabis and industrial hemp inside the Kingdom of Eswatini.

While there has been multiple attempts in the last decade to amend this act to current international standards, the kingdom has hit the same road blocks many other nations have hit in attempting to fall in line with the ever growing body of evidence that cannabis and hemp was outlawed for the wrong reasons.
